Marlène bought her first hair topper undetectable at Comme un diadème and shares her feedback with us.
"It's been two weeks since my hair topper and I met. I was blonde, with a short cut. I became myself again, light brown, with a very nice length (Alice model, base 18×18 cm, 16" length).
I had many fears, and you know what? Noe of them came true.
So here is a little feedback to dispel your doubts and encourage you to take the plunge too.
Fear #1: It's going to be uncomfortable/pull/scratch/move.
Actually, not at all. And yet, back then, headbands or ponytails that were too high gave me migraines. OK, sometimes a little hair gets caught in a clip, but all you have to do is move it a little and voilà, everything is in order. And no, I don't have to reposition my topper 15 times a day. I put it on in the morning, and that's it.
Fear #2: I'm going to die of heat under there.
Let's be clear, yes, you do get hotter with a topper, especially when walking in 30°C heat. But it's your hair that makes you hot, especially at the nape of your neck. This problem can be solved by tying it back with a clip or elastic band. As for the base, it even has a significant advantage: thanks to this protection, the sun no longer beats down on our heads. Those who have already experienced sunburn on their scalp will understand...
Fear #3: People will look at me strangely.
Yes, so what? Who cares, right?
This time, I went all out: I radically changed both the color and length of my hair overnight. The people I know and care about reacted with great kindness and lots of compliments. Some people I hadn't seen in a long time didn't even notice. It just goes to show that these little wonders really do look super natural!
Fear #4: Which color should I choose?
They all look so good on the Comme un diadème website! Which one should I choose? What if I completely mess up the colour scheme?
No need to worry, really. At worst, you'll need to touch up your organic hair a little. The shades don't have to be perfectly identical for a natural look. Once styled, with a pretty barrette or scarf, a little mix can even add an extra touch of charm.
Fear n°5: The choice of the base of hair topper .
That's the only thing I would change if I could go back. Because of points 1 and 2, I absolutely wanted to go for the smallest base (18×18). If I had to do it again, I would opt for the largest one. Because I now know that it's really comfortable, and that way I could better hide my still-short natural hair. So don't be afraid of large bases.

There you go, I hope this insight will convince you to leave your fears behind and take the plunge. Personally, I really don't regret it!

Hello, I just watched some of your videos and my hopes are rising again. Unfortunately, I have short hair and I didn't see any toppers . Should I get a slightly longer one and cut it? That would be a shame, so what should I do?
Best regards
Hello,
How short is your hair? If it's a bob, yes, you'll need to have it trimmed slightly.
However, this type of toppers necessarily suitable for very short haircuts like Sophie Davant or Evelyne Dhéliat.
