Marlène bought her first hair topper undetectable at Comme un diadème and shares her feedback with us.
"It's been two weeks since I met my hair topper. I was blonde, with a short cut. I have become myself again, light brown, with a very beautiful length (model Alice, base 7x7 inches, 16 inches long).

My fears were many, and you know what? None of them held up.
So here’s a little feedback to make your doubts disappear and for you to dare to take the plunge too.
Fear #1: It’s going to be uncomfortable / pull / scratch / move.
In fact, not at all. And yet, back then, headbands or a ponytail too high gave me migraines. Okay, sometimes a little hair gets caught in a clip, but you just have to move it a bit and voila, everything is in order. And no, I don’t have to readjust my topper 15 times a day. I put it on in the morning, and that’s it.
Fear #2: I’m going to be hot under there.
Let’s be clear, yes, it’s warmer with a topper, especially when walking at 30°C. But it’s the hair that makes us hot, especially at the nape of the neck. Problem solved by tying it up with a clip or an elastic. As for the base, it even provides a significant advantage: thanks to this protection, the sun doesn’t beat down on our heads anymore. Those who have experienced a sunburn on the scalp will understand…
Fear #3: People will look at me strangely.
Yes, and so what? We don’t care, do we?
For this one, I went all out: radically changing color but also length overnight. The people I know and appreciate reacted with great kindness and many compliments. Some, not seen for a long time, didn’t even notice. This shows that these little wonders really have a super natural look!
Peur n°4: Quelle couleur choisir?
They all look so beautiful, these toppers, on the Comme un diadème website! Which one to choose? What if I completely mess up the color?

No need to worry, actually. At worst, we can get a little blend with our natural hair. The shades don’t have to be perfectly identical for a natural look. Once styled, with a pretty clip or scarf, a little mix can even add an extra touch of charm.
Fear No. 5: Choosing the base of the hair topper.
That’s the only thing I would change if I could go back. Because of points 1 and 2, I absolutely wanted to take the smallest base (18×18). If I had to do it again, I would opt for the largest. Because I now know that it’s really comfortable, and that way, I could better hide my still short natural hair. So, really don’t be afraid of wide bases.

There you go, I hope this feeling will convince you to leave your anxieties in the closet and dare to take the plunge. Personally, I really don’t regret it!
Marlène.

Hello, I just watched part of your videos and my hope is renewed. Unfortunately, I have short hair and I haven't seen any short hair toppers. Should I get a slightly longer one and cut it? That would be a shame, so what should I do?
Bien cordialement
Bonjour,
How short is your hair? If it's a bob, then yes, it will need to be cut slightly.
However, this type of hair topper is not necessarily suitable for very short cuts like Sophie Davant, Evelyne Dhéliat.
